for the awareness challenge I've chosen to do a blue book representing the Blue Ribbon which is for child abuse awareness I am a child abuse Survivor the media likes to portray us as damaged people who can't be reintegrated into society that were violent were criminals but at the end of the day one and four people are child abuse survivors and you know we're just like everybody else do I have mental health problems yes but I'm a responsible adult with a full-time job I'm not violent I'm not routinely breaking laws I'd like to think of myself as a generally successful person and that child abuse Survivor somehow makes you less of a person robs you of your personhood and leaves you so broken that you can't be a part of society is pervasive
