2021's Top 10 Moisturizing Products on the App Under $25

by @vanzillascott
Jan 13, 2021

I've said it once (or twice) before, and I'll say it again; for 4-5 months out of the year I am Spongebob when he's dry. When I wake up in the morning my face actually hurts. I am crustier than bread. I immediately go to the washroom and cover my face in two things: Aquaphor and moisturizer. Yes both, idk! Right now I'm using Embryolise Lait-Crème Concentré for moisturizer and it's really nice, and I apply it about ten times a day (and this on top of oils and hydrating cleansers). BUT ENOUGH ABOUT ME!

I scoured the database for the community's favorite moisturizing products, from lip masks to sheet masks and moisturizers to face sprays, keeping in mind that you don't need more than $20 to find a great product. Some of our rewards from brands like Sweet Chef and Tower 28 became your favorites, and you won't be surprised to see a little CeraVe and Cocokind sprinkled in there.

As always, we want to know what you guys can't live without—add your review of your favorite moisturizing product below, and try and keep them in the $20 range!

1. CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

As Supergreater Thorhatesyou would say; "Moist...bruh." You've heard about this cream before, and with good reason. You get tons of product for only $18.99, it's fragrance free, perfect for all skin types and non-irritating for even the most sensitive skin.

2. Sweet Chef, Sugarcane + Vitamin E Lip Sleeping Mask

This past reward has quickly become a favorite on the app—I actually keep mine by my bedside and apply a thick coat right before falling asleep. This $15 jar goes a really long way (I've barely made a dent in mine in months) and it contains ingredients including sugarcane (a natural exfoliant), Vitamin E (hydrating), squalane (prevents moisture loss) and petroleum-free rice bran base (packed with soothing enzymes).

3. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5

If you know about The Ordinary, than you already know how affordable this brand is. This cult classic product is only $6.80 and contains miracle moisturizing ingredient hyaluronic acid (fact: it can hold up to 1,000 times it weight in water) which brings moisturizing products deeper into the skin.

4. Cocokind, My Matcha Moisture Stick

This handy $9 stick works on both the lips and skin, keeping dryness at bay and reducing dark spots and puffiness under the eyes. Plus it's by Supergreat favorite brand and drop partners, Cocokind! We love them! Fin!

5. Experiment Avant Guard Reusable Sheet Mask

This product is a game changer! The Avant Guard reusable mask is a $22 mask that you can use forever and ever because of the power of occlusion. You might already have tons of serums, oils, and moisturizers, so this mask goes on top of what you already own to help with absorption. No need to waste single sheet masks anymore!

6. Embryolisse lait-crème concentré

This cream smells so damn good and feels so luxurious. The 0.01 fl oz bottle is $16 and ingredients include vitamins and antioxidants that absorb quickly into the skin. It can also be used as an overnight mask if you apply it generously before bed!

7. Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray

I love facial spray, I have about 5 of them on my desk as I type this story. One of my favorites is by Tower 28, a soothing and hydrating spray that contains hypochlorous acid, a natural heeling agent. It also has the National Eczema Association's Seal of Acceptance™. The 4 oz bottle is only $12!

8. Weleda Skin Food

Yet another cult classic product, even Rihanna swears by this one. A tube of Skin Food costs $18.99 and can be found in grocery stores and pharmacies. It's great for your face (although it's quite thick, so beware!) as well as your whole body. Fun fact: this cream was formulated in 1926, and it contains ingredients like calendula, chamomile and beeswax. It's a great product to use to give you that dewy look too!

9. Supergoop Glow Stick

Oh, Supergoop! You can do no wrong. This is one of my favorites by them because it's almost like a serum. It makes your skin glow, it works really well as a primer and one stick will last you months. Seriously, I've had mine for 7 months and it's nowhere near done, making it well worth the $25.

10. Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser

Cetaphil is well known for their fair prices, universal effectiveness on all skin types, and accessability. You can pretty much find Cetaphil anywhere you can find band aids (don't quote me on that). One tub of their facial cleanser is only $14.49, and that's great news for people who want to wash their faces without striping them. Oh, and it's non-comedogenic.
