Attention Little Monsters! If, like me, you feared that the beloved Haus Labs might be shutting down, those rumors were swiftly put to rest by Lady Gaga herself who has been hinting at something different with her beauty brand. A few weeks ago the Haus Laboratories social media accounts were completely wiped with last minute calls to stock up on your favorites now.
(@Rhoudeboy and I both ordered several metallic eyeshadows at half price). Unfortunately we’ll have to wait until June 9th to see the new Haus Labs in action, but when we do it’ll be realized with their new retailer—Sephora! The brand's instagram account has been hinting at the rebrand with new formulas, vibrant pigments, and natural ingredients. The brand's Instagram bio reads, “Supercharged Clean Artistry Powered by Innovation.” Some are speculating skincare, however us Little Monsters think this is just the brand's way of diving into the more artistic makeup that their founder is known for.
As you may have noticed this is not our normal challenge announcement, but we are spicing things up. For the INALA 30 Day Challenge we want to see how you've used INALA products over time. Their Power Potion is currently 200 supercoins so get some now before we run out. Use it every day and let us see how your hair transforms over time.
An official page to start posting your results will go up in June. You have until June 22nd to submit your results.
C/O Keys Soulcare
Last week another celebrity-beauty brand has evolved their selections with new color cosmetic offerings. Keys Soulcare—founded by Alicia Keys—added to their roster of skincare and body care items a new collection of makeup products. Tinted lip balms, sheer flush cheek tints, and a clear brow gel expand the collection, offering products that enhance the wearers natural beauty with a buildable application. In an interview with Glamour UK in 2020, Keys discussed her decision to stop wearing makeup in 2016 and the journey it’s taken her on.
“Make-up was a big thing for me; I had been wearing it since I was, like, 16 years old,” she shared. “And then, as I got into the music world, it was what you did every day to do your television, or to do your shoot. So, I did it because I thought that’s what you’re supposed to do. And I realized I became addicted to it; I didn’t feel comfortable without it.” Six years after deciding to no longer wear makeup, her introduction to this market is filled with growth and the venture to a new direction with her brand. Products in this collection range from $15 to $26 and are available on keyssoulcare.com and ulta.com
C/O Allure Magazine
On the cover of Allure’s June/July 2022 issue, Chlöe Bailey wowed in all her beauty as she discussed body positivity, hip hop, and feminism. She opened up to Allure and discussed how her journey through music and the industry has shaped her body image and the steps she takes to reclaim that power. “When I was young, I was a little ashamed of my curves. Now my favorite thing about my body is my butt,” said the singer in her cover story interview. The full interview is well worth the read.
