Here at Supergreat we are all about embracing and uplifitng each other year-round. Our Latine & Hispanic community not only brings amazing reviews and style, but also innovative and long lasting products that you'll want to purchase ASAP.

This Latine & Hispanic Heritage Month we wanted to take an extra moment to showcase the Latine & Hispanic owned beauty brands that are favorites amongst users on Supergreat. From the forever iconic egg-shaped beauty tool to luxury sustainable products that care about the environment and your skin, these brands are founded by talented individuals who really know what they're doing! This list is not even remotely all-encompassing, but is a curated introduction to some cult-classic products that you may or may not have known were also Latine & Hispanic owned.

When founder Babba C. Rivera founded Ceremonia, she sought out to create a hair brand that was enriched with the culture of her Latinx heritage and creating a clean and sustainable option for all. With over 100 reviews on the Ceremonia Aceite de Moska hair oil by itself, it’s easy to see that the Supergreat community is a big fan. Our very own Savannah (@vanzillascott even interviewed Rivera last year where she detailed the making of the brand. “We pride ourselves in offering the very best of clean hair care through vegan and cruelty-free formulas, packed with natural ingredients from Latin America,” she says.

Tata Harper

Tata Harper doesn’t play around with the ingredients that are used in her namesake brand's products. Founded with her then husband Henry Harper over 10 years ago, the brand has grown to become one of the most sought after luxury natural skincare brands. Supergreat are eager to get their hands on these splurge-worthy products.

Alamar Cosmetics

If there is one thing Alamar Cosmetics knows what to do it’s create glowy products that will have you looking sun kissed in seconds. As you can see from the reviews, the blush is a favorite, but you can also dabble with color with their eyeshadow palettes. Gabriela Trujillo was born in Alamar, Cuba before moving to the United States when she was three; the profound impact of being Latina stayed with her, eventually inspiring the name of the much loved Alamar Cosmetics.

Artist Couture

At Artist Couture it’s all about the Glow, in fact the community even has a name, #GLOWGETTERS! Celebrity makeup artist and influencer Angel Merino founded this glow-tastic makeup brand with the goal of uniting people to embrace their own self-identity. If you are still on the highlight to the GODS look like me, then you need one of their diamond powders. A little goes a long way, but don't be shocked if you're tempted to dust your entire body with it, we won't judge in fact we want to see!

If you are in need of a colorful eyeshadow palette then Glamlite is the place to go. Founded by Giselle Hernández Glamlite has steadily become a favorite among makeup artists and influencers with their pigmented shades, versatile colors, and affordable prices! Oh and they recently did a collaboration with one of my favorite Tiktoker’s the hilarious and beautiful Mikayla Nogueira.

Bomba Curls

Attention curly-haired individuals! If you have not tried Bomba Curls yet, what are you waiting for? Founded by fellow curly gal Lulu Cordero, the brand was created as a way for Cordero to share the hydrating and frizz-defying natural ingredients. They’re hero product is the Dominican ForbiddenOil that is made with pure coffee seed and castor oil to act as a hair serum and growth booster. Check out our full interview with the founder who even had a drop earlier this year!

Beauty Blender

Once upon a time in Hollywood, Beauty Blender founder Rea Ann Silva was (still is) a well-known makeup artist in Hollywood who used to work on the very popular show, Girlfriends. During her time as the key makeup artist she created a rounded sponge by cutting the corners off the corners of a regular square sponge and they became so popular she realized the potential. Fast forward 20+ years and this brand is now a household name, a favorite amongst Supergreat users of course, and now extending into concealer, foundation, and who knows what next.

Rare Beauty

Adding to the long list of celebrity owned beauty brands, Selena Gomez has created something incredibly unique with her brand, Rare Beauty. The beauty community can sometimes be polarizing, and Selena Gomez wanted Rare Beauty to represent a shift towards more positive conversations about beauty, self-acceptance, and mental health. A much appreciated addition to the brand's impact is their resources for recognizing mental health through breaking down stigmas and offering educational tools.

Dominique Cosmetics

For Christen Dominique, makeup has been a steady part of her life since she was 14, and that love has only grown through the years culminating in the beauty brand Domonique Cosmetics. Along with her husband Caesar, Christen is the founder of this brand that creates beautiful liquid shadows, eyeshadow palettes, blushes, and all the things you’d need for a complete glam.

Luna Magic

Taking inspiration from the cultures and music of the Caribbean & Latin America, sisters Mabel and Shaira Frias founded makeup brand Luna Magic in Los Angeles. Both sisters have an impressive resume that only adds to their dedication in crafting cosmetics that work on a luxury level and are full of color. Oh, and they were on Shark Tank!

Sigma Beauty

If you watch any beauty tutorial on youtube there’s a very high chance that of the numerous brushes that are being used there will be a Sigma brush amongst the pile. Sigma Beauty has been a favorite of the beauty community for 10+ years for their innovative tools and brush cleaning products. Founded by Dr. Simone Xavier and Rene Xavier Filho the brand is expanding into cosmetics with eyeshadows, lip gloss, blushes, and more.

Joanna Vargas

The brand's namesake Joanna Vargas is one of THE estheticians the A-list celebrities trust for their important events. Known for her innovative body and face treatments, Vargas is a go-to for facials and tools to keep skin hydrated and glowing. These are esthetician improved products that are made for all skin types and textures, a perfect introduction to more luxury products that are worth the price.

PDL Cosmetics

Founded by Panamanian actress and activist Patricia de Leon, the brand is inspired by the “fierce determination and elegantly sexy confidence of her Latina ancestors, sisters and friends.” If you’re a lover of bold and vibrant lipsticks then PDL has a formula and color for you. Whether you’re a lip gloss, lipstick, or liquid lipstick (my personal favorite) lover, there are colors for you that will make you feel like you're your very own CEO and Seductress.

Lights Lacquer

Youtuber and an OG beauty influencer, Kathleen Fuentes (or better known as KathleenLights), founded this nail polish brand in 2019. While many fans may have expected a cosmetic line from this Beauty Guru, who has done many Colourpop collaborations in the past, the success of her polishes are too good to not try yourself. The polishes are 7-free & toxin free, meaning none of the bad stuff that could be hazardous or cause cancer, and come in beautiful colors for every season, holiday, or random party.

Rizo's Curls

Another curly-haired favorite, Julissa Prado created these products for people like her who could never seem to find the right products for their curly strands. It was made for all curl types and is made without sulfates, silicones, and parabens. The Refresh & Detangle Spray is a Supergreat favorite.
