In 2017, Groupon conducted a study with 2,000 Americans asking how much money they spend on their appearance. The women surveyed spent an average of $3,756 a year (that is $313 a month, and up to $225,360 in their lifetime) and the men surveyed spent an average of $2,928 per year ($244 a month, and up to $175,680 in their lifetime). That's a lot of bread.
