The Highlight Reel
Eyeshadow has come a long way since its tiny pan with accompanying sponge-tipped applicator packaging. Dusty, chalky, and generally kind of disappointing, powder shadows can really be hit or miss. But for those who crave pigment, cream and liquid formulas are where it's AT.
Honestly, even cream shadows are hit or miss for me, depending on which ones will betray you and migrate into your eyelid creases, but by and large, as soon as liquid shadows hit the scene, they seemed to be the contender for pigment, longwear, and non-creasing that we wish all our eye shadows lived up to. Plus, a lot of liquid shadows are easier to apply, you can often do so just my smudging with your fingers. It's truly a thing of beauty.
This also makes the application really cool to watch since there's such good color payoff. So much so, that we binged so many liquid eye shadow reviews on Supergreat and picked our faves, which you see right here.
