When I asked Eliza to describe where she was from, for the sake of this profile, she said; "Up your butt and around the corner." Let that be the introduction, and everything you need to know, about Eliza's personality.
Seriously though, she's from North Carolina, and she's been SG's Community Manager since day one. She's the one who emails you about pretty much everything that's happening on the app, and she's the giver of Supercoins. Yes, Eliza has unlimited coins, and she is both the hand who giveth, and the hand who taketh away.
Before we get into the nitty gritty, including what she calls her "concern-based skincare philosophy" and her red lipstick hoard, Eliza wanted to pass on this important message: "I just wanted to give you all a reminder that you should take time to recognize all the good things your skin is doing, all the progress you’ve gone through, and not the things you want to change or fix. We should all be grateful for our skin, because without it, we’d really be fucked."
I lay in bed for an hour despondent, I look at my cat and will myself to get up and wash my face. I use my silicone scrubber to improve my circulation and get excess skin off. Right now I’m using IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cleanser. My philosophy with skincare is concern based, so I target a concern and I buy skincare that will address that issue. Once I’ve dealt with that issue I move on to another one.
So I’m transitioning from one issue to the next right now, the first was melasma, and for that I was using the Murad Vitamin C and that got rid of my dark spots in two weeks. Now I'm just in maintenance mode for that, and I'm entering the crepey neck skin issue. It's basically when your neck skin gets really thin and wrinkled, and that’s why I started using IT Cosmetics' anti-aging products. I’ve been using the Bliss What a Melon Toner and Maelove Glow Maker serum as my dark spot maintenance because it’s cheaper than Murad's vitamin C serum, and then I use the Murad Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30.

I keep my base pretty consistent because I have oily skin and I like a semi-matte medium coverage look. I’ve been really liking the Dr. Jart+ BB Cream with SPF 45, it supposedly adjusts to your skin tone, which is nice if you get a little darker or lighter. I let that settle and then I go over it with Laura Mercier finishing powder to mattify it and keep the shine down, without looking super cakey. I’m crazy for contour, I use Hoola bronzer on my cheekbones and jawline and because of reviews I've seen on the app, I’ve started going around my temples and hair line on my forehead. I’m always advocating for the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Illuminating Palette, people ask me about it all the time and I’ve used it on a lot of my friends and it looks good on everyone. Then I use the highlighter part to highlight the tops of my cheeks, my cupids bow and if I’m feeling wild I’ll put it down my nose too. I also love the RMS Luminizer X Quad Palette, it makes me feel like J. Lo.
I’m not super loyal to any mascara except for Maybelline Colossal Lash, I mostly love mascaras when they’re having a midlife crisis, like when they’re halfway through their life span. I also like Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara, Pacifica Chronic Volume, Tarte Lights Camera Lashes, Benefit They’re Real, and Nars Climax. I think a lot of brow products are a scam, and all you need is a 2-in-1 pencil with a brush on one end. My eyebrow hairs get long and curled so I need to trim them when I find the strength.

For eyeshadow I’ve been experimenting a lot more. I used to wear nothing or do a very natural look, but for the last couple of months we’ve been doing colorful eye looks in the office and being more expressive. I like the ModelCo Eyelites Metallic Eyeshadow in St. Barts, I got it in my Allure beauty box a few months back. I also got a Mally Evercolor Shadow Stick in a box and it’s good. The NYX Vivid Brights liquid liners are so good, so is the Ultimate Edit Petite Shadow Palette. I went to a beauty supply store and got a palette by Nicka K for $4.99 that had 32 rainbow colors and they turned out to be really pigmented and it has a lot of great options so I’ve been using that too. I really like the Kat Von D tattoo liner, I want my eyeliner to be as black as a back hole and matte.
Basically I look fantastic in red lipstick, I'm sorry. But that’s being counterbalanced by the weird inner skin on my lips, it extends farther out on my lip than it should so lipstick doesn’t adhere to it well. So I always use a base using the Sephora collection matte liquid lip stain, and then I put other lipstick on top of it. I’ve bought too many freaking red lipsticks, I don't want to add up how much I’ve spent. The Chanel Rouge Allure Liquid Powder and the Ives Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture are really good. I have so much red lipstick it’s like I have a library you can borrow from. The Nars Powermatte Lip Pigment is really nice too.
I like lip gloss but I think paying more than $10 for one isn’t a wise decision. The NYX lipgloss is really good, and you get a lot. I’ve been liking one by Floss called YUL that I got in my Allure beauty box. I also like the nude lip gloss by Laritzy, which I never thought I’d like after middle school, but here we are.

I love layering perfumes. I like Byredo Rose of No Man's Land alone or combined with Super Ceder, and I also like layering Super Cedar with Glossier You. I also love Thé Noir 29 from Le Labo, but I only wear it when I’m prepared to be stalked on the street by people asking me what I’m wearing non stop.
Hair & Body:
I use Devacurl No-Poo Cleanser, I stopped using shampoo in college. My hair is naturally grey, it’s genetic and it went grey when I was 12.
I own every hair tool that you could imagine because I want the best curls. Last night I put my hair in hot rollers and it all went to crap. I’ve bought every infomercial product and...they’re just not it. So I’m still in discovery mode. I love the Ouai body scrub, and other than that I use whatever dumb soap I have. I try to wear aluminum-free deodorant, and I love the Arm & Hammer one.
Low Poo Delight Cleanser
I wash my face with the same morning cleanser by IT Cosmetics, then I use the Dr Dennis Gross Extra Strength Alpha Beta Daily Peel Packets. It takes so long to do the whole peel, like it takes 30 minutes, but I use it as an excuse to watch a TV show. Then I use two drops of the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil and I mix it with the Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum. I let that soak in and then I just started using the IT Cosmetics anti-aging cream, and if I feeling crazy I’ll add in the Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum. I love being a mad scientist and mixing stuff together. Is that not good? It might be bad, whatever.
